It’s March 11th, 2021 and here’s everything that happened in the world of baseball over the last 24 hours.
The Most Important Thing
Unfortunate news for top Astros prospect Forrest Whitley. There were rumblings the other day that Whitley would need Tommy John surgery after his UCL sprain earlier this week, and yesterday manager Dusty Baker made the news official.
Whitley has dealt with injuries and suspension since he was selected #17 overall in 2016.

Three Minnesota Twins minor-league instructors have been dismissed for violating COVID protocols, per Dan Hayes. Donegal Fergus (hitting), Billy Boyer (infield) and Michael Thomas (catching) were all let go by the team.
