Padres superstar SS Fernando Tatis Jr. has been placed on the 10-day IL with left shoulder subluxation. Manager Jayce Tingler told reporters he will go the rest-and-rehab route and aim for a return in 10 days. In Tatis Jr.’s absence OF Brian O’Grady was recalled from the alternate site. Ha-Seong Kim is starting at SS for the Padres while Tatis Jr. is out.
The Nationals announced several moves to combat the issues caused by the team’s COVID outbreak. Among those out due to the outbreak: 1B Josh Bell, OF Kyle Schwarber, LHP Brad Hand, and LHP Jon Lester.
The Braves acquired INF Orlando Arcia from the Milwaukee Brewers for RHP Chad Sobotka and RHP Patrick Weigel.
The Brewers selected RHP Brad Boxberger from the team’s alternate site and transferred RHP Justin Topa from the 10-day IL to the 60-day IL.
The Diamondbacks placed RHP Joakim Soria (calf) on the 10-day IL and recalled RHP Matt Peacock from the team’s alternate site.
A’s moves: placed RHP Burch Smith (groin) and LHP Reymin Guduan (thumb) on the 10-day IL; recalled RHP Jordan Weems and 1B Seth Brown from the team’s alternate site.
Rays moves: claimed C Deivy Grullón off waivers from the Reds; RHP Chaz Roe (shoulder) was transferred from the 10-day IL to the 60-day IL; placed OF Kevin Kiermaier (quad) on the 10-day IL; recalled INF Kevin Padlo from Triple-A Durham.
The Marlins activated 1B/OF Garrett Cooper from the 10-day IL.
Royals RHP Scott Blewett and C Meibrys Viloria cleared waivers and were outrighted to Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Braves INF Ehire Adrianza left the team for a personal reason and was placed on the restricted list, notes Jon Heyman.

Giants 3B Tommy La Stella was scratched from yesterday’s lineup with upper back tightness.
A’s closer Trevor Rosenthal visited vascular surgeon Dr. Gregory Pearl yesterday in Dallas, notes Ken Rosenthal. From Rosenthal: “No word on whether Rosenthal will require surgery, which likely would sideline him 3 to 4 months. He will undergo more tests tomorrow.”
Mets 3B JD Davis was pulled from the team’s game against the Phillies after getting hit by a pitch on his left hand. X-rays were negative.
Dodgers OF Cody Bellinger will be getting further testing on his ankle after getting spiked by Reymin Guduan's cleats.
A’s 1B Matt Olson missed yesterday’s game with a left knee contusion. Manager Bob Melvin said the team hopes he is day-to-day.
Blue Jays OF George Springer (oblique) had 14 simulated plate appearances in his BP today, notes Rob Longley.
Marlins RHP Elieser Hernandez (bicep) will be sent for an MRI, per manager Don Mattingly. Mattingly notes he’s feeling better every day.
