RHP Antonio Senzatela and the Rockies have agreed to a 5 year, $50.5 million contract extension, reports Jeff Passan. Senzaetla posted a 4.42 ERA in 28 starts in 2021.
1B CJ Cron is returning to the Rockies on a 2 year, $14.5 million extension, per Mark Feinsand.
The Nationals signed SS Alcides Escobar to a 1 year, $1 million contract to return to Washington, per Jesse Dougherty.
Yankees designated LHP Andrew Heaney and RHP Brody Koerner for assignment. They purchased the contracts of C Rob Brantly and OF Greg Allen from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre
The following players have elected free agency: 1B Jose Marmolejos, LHP Travis Bergen, RHP A.J. Cole, RHP Dany Jimenez, C Austin Romine, RHP Jairo Diaz, RHP Austin Pruitt.
The Indians released LHP Brady Aiken.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone after last night’s loss: "I haven't had any conversations about [my contract] with anyone, so we'll see,"
Dodgers notes from manager Dave Roberts: the team does not expect LHP Clayton Kershaw back at any point in the playoffs; there is a glimmer of hope that 1B Max Muncy (elbow) could return some time in October. Muncy’s elbow injury will not require surgery.
RHP Corbin Burnes will start game 1 of the NLDS for the Brewers.
LHP Shane McClanahan will start game 1 of the ALDS for the Rays. RHP Shane Baz will start game 2.
RHP Lance McCullers Jr. will start game 1 of the ALDS for the Astros.
The Mets will soon speak to Theo Epstein about their President of Baseball Operations position, says Mike Puma.
Brewers RHP Devin Williams had surgery on Friday and is in a splint now, says GM David Stearns.
Rangers Bench Coach Don Wakamatsu & Hitting Instructor Luis Ortiz will not return, reports Evan Grant. Grant also notes that the status of Assistant Hitting Coach Callix Crabbe & Run Production Coordinator Alex Burg will be left up to the new hitting coach.
Giants notes from manager Gabe Kapler: LHP Jake McGee (oblique) threw a live batting practice on Tuesday; dream scenario is 1B Brandon Belt will be able to return in time for the NLCS should San Francisco make it that far.
White Sox manager Tony La Russa says LHP Carlos Rodon is “still under consideration” for postseason use.
Pirates notes from GM Ben Cherington: the team wants to have a conversation with OF Bryan Reynolds on a contract extension; 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes (wrist), who ended the year on IL, saw a doctor in Ohio and will be examined by another doctor in Texas, but did not provide further details.
Tigers OF Derek Hill had surgery this week to clean up the meniscus in his left knee, reports Jason Beck. Beck notes Hill should be good for Spring Training.
