Former Mets manager Mickey Callaway has been named as the manager of Acereros de Monclova in the Mexican Pacific League. The Angels fired Callaway as their pitching coach in February after sexual harassment allegations.
The Orioles have signed OF Cristopher Céspedes, RHP Ofelky Peralta, and LHP Nick Vespi to minor league contracts, per Roch Kubatko.
Zach Buchanon reported several changes to the Diamondbacks coaching staff. Among them: catching coach Robby Hammock will not return; bench coach Luis Urueta was assigned to an MLB staff position; Matt Herges is no longer the pitching coach but was offered another position in the organization.
The Diamondbacks sent OF Henry Ramos, RHP Brandyn Sittinger, and 3B Ildemaro Vargas outright to Triple-A Reno.
The Reds sent OF Delino DeShields outright to Triple-A Louisville.

Astros owner Jim Crane told reporters there’s a chance the team will re-sign Carlos Correa.
Also from Crane: the team will probably extend a qualifying offer to RHP Justin Verlander.
The Astros left RHP Jake Odorizzi off of the team’s roster for the ALDS.
The White Sox left LHP Dallas Keuchel off of their ALDS roster.
There’s a “strong possibility” that JD Martinez plays in today’s ALDS game 2 for Boston, says manager Alex Cora.
The Blue Jays tried to acquire Cleveland 3B Jose Ramirez and Detroit OF Robbie Grossman at the trade deadline, reports Shi Davidi.
