The Reds placed 3B Mike Moustakas on the 10-day IL with a non-COVID illness. INF Alex Blandino was activated from the IL.
The Tigers recalled INF Zack Short from the alternate site and designated INF Renato Núñez for assignment.
Giants moves: optioned LHP Sam Selman to the alternate site; activated RHP Logan Webb and LHP Jake McGee from the COVID-IL; designated RHP Trevor Gott for assignment.
The Marlins placed OF Starling Marte (ribs) on the 10-day IL and recalled OF Lewis Brinson.

INF Neil Walker announced he has officially retired from baseball. Walker spent 12 years in the majors, the first 7 with the Pirates.
Free-agent RHP Anibal Sanchez will hold a showcase for interested teams on Friday, reports Jon Heyman. Sanchez pitched the last two seasons in Washington, posting a 4.52 ERA over 219 IP.
The #2 overall pick in the 2020 draft, Orioles OF Heston Kjerstad, has been medically cleared and will report to the Orioles alternate site, per Jim Callis. Kjerstad had been dealing with myocarditis, the heart issue that has been linked to COVID.
White Sox OF Adam Eaton was suspended one game for his actions that led to the benches clearing in last Thursday’s game against the Indians.
Padres LHP Adrian Morejón had his Tommy John surgery yesterday. He will be out for the season.
Phillies SS Jean Segura left yesterday’s game with a strained right quad.
Cubs 3B David Bote was pulled from yesterday’s lineup due to a “covid precaution,” manager David Ross told reporters.
Giants 1B Brandon Belt was pulled from yesterday’s game due to a tight right quad, manager Gabe Kapler told reporters.
Marlins C Jorge Alfaro exited yesterday’s game with left hamstring soreness.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts expects OF Mookie Betts (forearm) to play Thursday.
